Review of Japan’s Agricultural and Food Product Export Promotion Programs: A comparison with the export strategies of the US and Italy and discussion of a proposed Food Basket Strategy
To help Japan MAFF meet its goal of 1 trillion JPY exports by 2013, Promar conducted a year-long study of two of the world’s most successful export promotion programs, those of the US and Italy. In a series of presentations and advisory group meetings with representatives from government and industry, we laid out our findings and recommended lessons that Japan could use to increase its exports.
